SOUTH SHORE COACH & PLAYER DEVELOPMENT SYMPOSIUM FOR SOCCER & SPORT February 3-12 @ HB Studios Sports Centre HB Studios Sport Centre will be hosting the 3rd Annual Coach & Player Development Symposium for Soccer & Sport from February 3-12. This year's symposium opens with a College Identification Combine Tournament on Feb.3-5 featuring 12 high school aged teams from Nova Scotia, PEI, and New Brunswick. Guest presenters from Atlantic Canada and North America will be working with our coaches and training groups February 6-12 with formal coach education opportunities avalable throughout the week and on the weekend of February 11 and 12. This year we have partnered several different sports groups: Soccer NS is piloting a Goalkeeper Coach Certificate curriculum ; Athletics Nova Scotia is offering Run-Jump-Throw training & Athletics Club Coach certification ; NSSAF is running a seminar education course on Keeping School in School Sport - required for all scholastic coaches ; and High Five Sport is being offered for coaches working with children ages 4-12 years of age. Specific event details will be posted during the month to highlight what is available for our coaches and players.
